The new Nika Museum has opened its doors at Nika Island Resort & Spa. To gain insights into Maldivian folklore and heritage, visitors can now explore the collection consisting of artefacts, pieces of art and creations of local artists. Reflecting the conservation efforts, the space for the museum was created by converting an old furnace that was used in the island to cast and forge metals. A maze of tunnels, coral made vaults and arches guide the visitors through the collection, showcasing the island nation’s rich history and culture.
