MULVANE, Kan. — Kansas Star Casino Hotel Event Center will usher in Lunar New Year 2020, the Year of the Rat, with an authentic private culinary experience amidst vibrant displays, and exciting entertainment featured in the Asian Variety Show.
Guests are invited to enjoy the seasonal culinary specials delectably prepared by the entertainment destination’s signature Woodfire Grill, in a two week long private dining experience offered Jan. 15 through Jan. 26. The dinner dining experience will take place in a pop-up Lunar New Year installation built just off of the casino floor in a beautiful pagoda tiered tower adorned with cherry blossom trees, a gorgeous array of red lanterns festooned with gold tassels and other celebratory décor. The menu serves up to six people and highlights:
- Starter: Choice of ahi-sashimi with avocado ponzu or shrimp tempura with sweet chili dipping sauce
- Entrée: Choice of miso-glazed black cod with bok choy and miso broth or soy braised beef short rib with broccoli and soy reduction
- Dessert: Fluffy Japanese pancake, berry compote with Chantilly cream and fresh berries

The Asian Variety Show showcasing entertainers such as Tuan Anh, Thanh Tuyen, Nguyen Hung, Don Ho, Luu Bich, Duong Trieuvu, Anh Minh and more is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend with free admission and celebrate by receiving Lucky Money Fortune cards while supplies last. Tickets for the show are available at the B Connected Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and it is an all-ages show.
